Recently, the economic crisis has struck many, and some may have minor damages whilst others may have been very hard hit.

I would like to take a series of serious looks at the many faces of economic growth and recession. Also, I would like to use religion as one of the most powerful instruments to guide readers to economic freedom.

I recently came across this "50 factors that promote continuous economic growth in developed countries." And pretty much, all countries on that 25 country list made most of the 50 factors that it promotes. Except one, which is Japan. Japan, although neglecting most of the Christian rules, God's rules, on economic success, achieved the first rule to financial freedom. The only rule that I consider will make sure at the very least, one won't go hungry. All rules will make you happy, rich and etc, but one has to complete rule number 1 first!

The first and foremost rule of thumb to economic freedom and financial security is hard work.

It's that simple. Isn't it?!

So I will use Little Tomo as my John Smith or the random person for my examples.

Little Tomo is a farmer, works hard in the fields, wakes up at dawn and works hard until the day is over. He does this everyday for 365 days, including going to the city to sell his produce and such. We find that Little Tomo may not be Bill Gates, but still, he is able to feed his family and himself, and with some little allowance that he saves up.

One other rule that I will have to ponder on, is the importance of Land.

In Old Testament, basically, after Joshua led the Israelites into Canaan and divided the land and so on, the land stays in the tribe's control. So there was this instance when a man had 7 daughters and no sons, the first son, born by the daughter, will be sired by his mother's father, aka, if Little Tomo has 7 daughters and is a Benjamite. His daughters will all have to marry Benjamites, AND, the first one to have a son, the son will have the last name of "Tomo" instead of the man who married reproduced with Small Tomo's daughter.

This rule, makes sure that the land stays within the family, and since land is money back in the days, the money will not be lost. So if one is hard working, at least he will never starve.

We see this rule working when Boaz got Ruth. Ruth was a widow, so the first kid that Boaz and Ruth had, which was a son, was given the last name NOT of Boaz's. So Boaz basically has to take care of this son who has his blood, but does not have his sirname and will not be part of his decendants in the future.

So we see God trying to preserve Wealth in Isreal.

We see nowadays that the rich usually marry the rich. This is a mutated form of letting the land stay in the tribe's hands. The rich marry the rich to stay rich. So if you are one of the few who are mad rich, and your father or grandfather dislikes your current gf and asks you, informs you, orders you to marry this ugly chick who's dad owns just as much wealth as you, don't be angry with them. They are just trying to make sure you don't have to work so hard and still stay rich before you die!

On Sex

God basically says, that there should be no pre-marital sex, because stoning to death of the girl who plays the harlot in her father's house is not permitted. God is also very lenient to those that sinned. He says, paraphrased, "if you make a girl not so virgin, you shall go to her father and ask for her hand." AKA, you hump a girl, you should marry her.

My ex-roommate, or should I say, 3 of my ex-roommates in the past few years, who are ph.D students, told me the importance of sex in the field of biology. They say, that pre-marital sex, or infidelity, really is what survival of the fittest is all about. If one waits to have sex after marriage, biology is afraid people might not make it before then. (might not live long enough) So biology, science, the cold-blooded rational survival tactics, makes humans want to reproduce all the time.

I also recently read a book on women's infidelity. It distressed me lots. So I thought long and hard about pre-marital sex and on men's and women's infidelity. Btw, I'm not a stranger to women's infidelity, I have been dealt by women's infidelity 3 times as a personal experience.

So I thought to myself, hmm, yeah, why not have pre-marital sex right? And the mind-blowing answer came to me.

So, using Bible as the example, there were shrine prostitutes in the land of Canaan and many men and women participated in them. God didn't like that. My guess is that STDs will prob arise, attachment to prostitutes will arise, and if you can get all the sex you want from prostitutes, why marry right?! So reproduction reduces, reducing the number of children born, inducing the Japan like symptoms of triangle aging population where one kid has to feed 6 mouths.

So, economically speaking, polygamistic sex really harms the economy. Although Japan is currently still good for economic maintanence, once all the old folks die and not enough people to replace them, their culture and integrity of their people's "seed" will be replaced.

There are also some obivious ones for factors for economic growth, like, not using drugs, no gambling and so on.
